In the Eye of the Beholder

Let your imagination take over.

Get ready to dive and embrace.

Close your eyes.

Take a deep breath.

Now open them again

Let it run wild.

“Bouche de Métro” – Underground Station – Champ de Mars – in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. 31st of October, 2014. iPhone 5C – Panoramic view.

You are underground.

Look around.

What do you see?

Panning left to right

You can now grasp the bigger picture.

Is it you or that metro station

Resembles a giant mouth?

Upper lip shining bright

Lower lip painted yellow.

It smiles wide at you –

Content and ready to catch you.

You are wandering so close.

Beware of its chameleon tongue –

Ready to snap you and

Swallow you whole.

Cheeky dimples digging by its sides

Uneven, ravaged pirate teeth shining through

Camouflaged, dark, railing gums

Beige, and yellow tip of tongue exposed

Lured creatures walking

To their end. From this world

On to the next. Ready to hop in

The fast approaching train.
