Defining Love

Hey everyone, 

I was talking to a friend of mine and we were wondering about the definition of love. What is Love to us? 

Here is what I came up with:

To me “Love” is a delicate potion, a mix of attraction, admiration, desire, and care – all the above being physical and intellectual.

For it to happen, you need an initial encounter – and follow-ups of course.

For this mind-blowing cocktail to start brewing itself to maturity, you need a twist of sweet scents – probably linked to the compatibility of our respective hormones. Think of how evocative the scent of your partner can be… and the feel of their touch… There is some chemical magic going on there.

For it achieve its full blown force you need two individuals who are ready to let their newfound love turn their worlds upside down, and build another one together in their place.

For it to last you need mutual acknowledgement, respect, availability, and unconditional support.

In your partner you find a best friend, a family member and a lover. All wrapped up in one exquisite wonder of a human being.
