Stranded

Curves – soft, firm and generous,

Core – supple, athletic, reactive,

Spirit – warm, free, rebellious,

Mind – open, aware, imaginative

Whole – unshackled, aspiring, elusive.

Untouched – she feels her

Youthful body is wasted

On lack of others

Free, yet secluded –

Out of reach from enticing

Encounters. Silenced.

I liked the almost playful nature, then how it became more serious and deeper. Beautifully written loneliness.

    1. Haha 🙂 I was not, though that is the beauty of poetry you can read anything you like into it. Words speak to each reader in a unique way and often personal way. Thank you for reading and sharing your opinion. As always, it is enlightening and very much appreciated. I am glad you liked it.
PS: This giant body of water on the picture is lake Geneva 😉

I have been there (well not that exact spot likely) before way back in 2000. Beautiful summer, beautiful country.

        1. That’s great so you’ve witnessed first hand the powerful hold of this place. It has caught me in its nets for now. Not complaining though, I feel pretty lucky to live here. 🙂

    1. Thank you so much ❤ I love reading poetry out loud too. It reveals another layer to the words.
