A Song of Skies and Waters

Eyes slip on water,
drawn to air like fire, float,
meet astral flames. Lit,

burning skies catching
fiery sun fire, wielding
swords of light, piercing

through cotton vapours.
Daunting clouds, weightless shields,
sheltering, floating.

Downy veil storing,
restoring parched world, shedding
saltless tears of life

on mutilated

grounds.

It’s a very nice feeling to share. I’ve not listened to your new song yet, a bit tired tonight, I’ve been having a fun day out, being an Aussie at the Footy, a nice Blokey day , hehe…..

so pretty again! I love the haiku compilation! How did that not occur to me?!! haha thank you

    1. Well haikus are supposed to be short and the message they carry is brought forward by that very quality. Transgressing that rule transforms the nature of the haiku into something else. I try to keep the verses meaningful on their own to maintain a semblant of that effect.
