Un et Une

Ouvre moi ton coeur,

Open your heart to me,

Montre moi les details,

Show me the details,

Qui composent ton être,

That create who you are,

Intime de ton histoire,

Intimate of your story,

Inconnu de la mienne.

Yet unknown in mine.

Good morning fellow artistic souls!

I hope you are all having a fabulously creative week. Today is another special day to me. I am going to share yet another song with you – it is the 4th one already! This one is written in French. I translated the chorus for you above so that you can have an idea of what it is about, if you don’t speak French. This song has a very sweet and open tone. It is an invitation to open your heart and to love. I hope you enjoy it, as you do the rest of my songs and poems.

Thank you for your kind support and sweet words of encouragement. It makes me want to write and compose even more. ❤ You guys rock!

Much love,

Always

Hailie, you have such a sweet voice, you sound so youthful, and here I was listening to more of Leonard Cohen, ha, and I had to put him on pause, so I could play your lovely tune……

    1. Merci 🙂 I am happy you think so.
I feel the same about English. French sounds exotic to non-French speakers, but it is a flat language. Every syllable is performed with the same rhythm, on the same tone. In English the rhythm is inherent to the words. English words create music.

C’est parce-que le francais se rejoindre, mot apres mot. Comment la poesie. C’est une langue romantique, quand meme!

        1. C’est vrai. C’est une langue qui invite à la poésie. Les mots coulent, les uns après les autres, égaux les uns aux autres.

        1. I am stoked you liked my songs too 🙂 I love creating music, just as much as I do writing poems and stories.

Right about now, I am thinking that blogs are wonderful. Aren’t they though? You can step from one side of the mirror -writer – to the other – reader – in a split second, share, discover and exchange so much in a matter of minutes.

Poetry lends well to song writing i imagine. Just a tiny step away.

Blogs are a good escape, and is nice to share with others and get parts of yourself seen and assessed. I like good and bad feedback. As long as your work is being seen and heard, it’s very rewarding. But yes, your songs are lovely….you remind me of an artist but i can’t quite put my finger on it…yet.

I agree with you. Blogs offer visibility and sometimes you get constructive feedback. These gifts of time and appreciation are very encouraging.
