Fallen Tear

Vivid lights, soul magic breaks out,

floods the world with a single tear.

Eyes closed tight,

she wished the world away.

A single drop

parted from her eye…

Stolen flower

torn from her stem

landing on a river.

Fallen feather

floating away

out of the way

At the mercy

of the slightest breeze

A breath…

Brightest dreams and darkest days

tethered to her brimming consciousness,

about to burst in a sparkling storm.

Vivid lights,

soul magic breaks out,

floods the world

with a single tear.

Hey my lovely friends, and beautiful artists out there,

Here is another song from me. I wrote the lyrics first and then totally improvised, the tune, the rhythm and the chords.

I look forward to reading your comments ❤

Love to you all,

    Beautifully poetic Hailie,
    “floods the world
    with a single tear.”
Such a dramatic line, and your song was glorious, and your voice sweetly clearer, well done.xx

  3. Yet another beautiful song 🙂. The song seems to just flow out of you from one section to the next, it’s all so naturally you. So many wonderful sections to it. You got the intro spot on, your voice carried through that long “flower” just perfectly. The outro is just 😍, I can’t process words to describe it. And of course your words are as magical as ever. I can’t help singing “Eyes closed tight, / She wished the world away.” I try to speak the lines but they just come out as song everytime. They’re just too lyrical. Not complaining of course 😄.
That’s enough fanboying from me 😅. I know you’re enjoying your songwriting, and I’m loving it too. I can’t wait to see what you produce next. I’m sure you’ll find a way to impress even more 💕.

      1. Finally, a moment to myself, and a chance to fill my world with music again 🙂. My words are music? Yep, you really do know how to make my heart leap ☺. Your beautiful creative soul deserves all my praise and more, and I hope it never tires 💕. You make it seem so natural and easy, it doesn’t seem like too much of a challenge so far 😊.

The words, the music and the image conspire in a way to create a sullen mood that lingers. In other words, your creativity allows the listener to stop all distractions, enter your world and be moved. Lovely, impressionable work my dear friend ❤

This is very good songwriting. It’s poetic, and I loved the singing too. It reminded me of another cover you’ll give justice to. A folk one this time. I’ll leave the link if you let me. I don’t want to flood your comment section with links! It’s called Dust to Dust by The Civil Wars.
