I turn around expecting to see you.
All I see is a line stretching at the far edge of the world.
An infinity bearing the weight of the world on its shoulders.
I look down at the sand beneath my feet,
Traces of steps are being blown away by the wind.
You were there and did not wait.
You walked away and disappeared at sunset.
I missed your shape, and only met
With the cold shiver of night.
Hit reset.
Good one

You got me smiling 🙂 Thanks, Mister Lion. I am glad you appreciate its intricacies. It is part of a slightly longer piece – I am trying to create poems I could turn into songs. It is a fun challenge.

Thanks 🙂 I hope it will. The writing of the words is the easy part though ^^
